The Hillside Kobe was designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. Light shines through the concrete walls and the 120-year-old zelkova tree, expressing its charm to the fullest. Although minimalist, the design skillfully uses light, shadow, and greenery in harmony, making it rather Japanese. Please enjoy the unique mood of this designer space, which has been carefully designed down to the last detail.
A modern art space that feels like coexistence with nature
It was designed by Tadao Ando, a world-renowned architect who has received numerous honors, including the Pritzker Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of architecture. The exterior walls are made of distinctive granite stonework, and the interior features an open center court. Contrary to the inorganic impression of the concrete, once you step inside you will be overwhelmed by the sophisticated space, like a museum, filled with light and greenery.
