Itinerary for the Day
Your Fukuyama Castle Stay begins with a warm welcome by samurai clad in traditional armor.
Upon arrival, check in at the Tsukimi Yagura (Moon Viewing Turret), where you will participate in the ceremony to become the “Lord of Fukuyama Castle” for the day.
Afterwards, enjoy a Noh performance at the Oyu-dono bathhouse—an art form cherished by the castle’s first lord, Katsunari Mizuno.
Immerse yourself in this deeply historic traditional Japanese performing art to your heart’s content.
After the performance, enjoy dinner in the Fushimi Yagura turret, an Important Cultural Property normally closed to the public.
Following your meal, relax in the night lounge on the top floor of the castle keep or unwind in your bedroom at the Tsukimi Yagura turret, accompanied by local Fukuyama sake and snacks.
On the second day, breakfast will be served at Fukuju Kaikan.
Enjoy a leisurely morning in the garden overlooking the castle keep, accompanied by a cup of coffee.
Before check-out, you also have the opportunity to tour the Fushimi Yagura turret—an Important Cultural Property not normally open to the public.
